Welcome
to Horsmonden Methodist Church. We are a
rural Church and are part of the Tunbridge Wells Methodist
Circuit. There has been a Methodist Church
in Horsmonden for 161 years and our present Church can be
found in Furnace Lane, Horsmonden. In
addition to Horsmonden we are the local Methodist Church for
everyone living in Brenchley, Goudhurst, Lamberhurst, Marden
and the surrounding rural area.
|
|
Our
Church services are at 10.45 each Sunday morning and the
Junior Church meets at the same time joining the Church
service for the first 15 minutes and then going to their own
special activities. We extend a warm welcome to everyone
to join with us in worshipping God. |

Junior Church |
|
Our Junior
Church meets every Sunday morning when we do lots of fun
activities, while learning about God. Some of our
activities are: - Quizes, games, painting, drawing, having fun
and lots more. Our aim is to teach the young children
about God and what he has done for us and how he saved us.
We do this by having stories from the bible read to us and
also we look at what is happening in the world around us.
Any child can come to the Junior Church and enjoy its
teachings. It is a fun place for the early leaner of
God. These are some of the views the children had of
Junior Church "I enjoy the art and painting",
"It is good and you learn things about Jesus" and
"I think it is really good because you get to learn about
the bible."
So, come along if you want to and join in the fun.

| Prayer and
Bible Study Group |
Our Prayer and Bible Study Group has been
established for ten years. The Group meets in members
homes, approximately fortnightly and usually on
Thursday evenings at 8.00 pm. Actual dates and venues
are arranged to suit the availability of members and are
normally known a month ahead. For information please
contact Noel Grabham on 01892 722680; email Grabham@btinternet.com.
The group is lead by Dr Ian Beavis, a
local preacher in the Tunbridge Wells Circuit. In our
studies we take a book or section of the bible for a series
of meetings. We read the book and look at the
historical context in which it was written before
considering how the content may relate to our lives in
today's world. Any enquiries or interest in joining our group can be made to Noel Grabham on 722680.
The Group welcomes visitors and new members
eager to experience a more in depth consideration of the
Bible's message than is possible during Sunday worship."
|
| Wesley's
Kettle |
Open on the second and the
fourth Saturday mornings in the month. Tea and Coffee and
biscuits etc are served by a willing band of volunteers.
There is also a 'bring and buy' stall which is very popular
and some of the proceeds from this have been used towards our
Church Refurbishment project and some given to Charity.
Over the past years a number of charities have been supported
in this way.
